Size Chart — Equestro Helmets
Equestro helmets are sized by head circumference in centimetres. Follow the guide below to find your perfect size.
How to Measure Your Head
Using a soft fabric tape measure, wrap it around the widest part of your head — approximately 2 cm above your eyebrows, level across your forehead, just above the tops of your ears, and around the fullest part at the back of your head. Keep the tape snug but not tight. Measure in centimetres and repeat 2-3 times to confirm.

Between Two Sizes?
If your measurement falls right on the boundary between two sizes (e.g. exactly 55 cm, between S and M):
- Size up — a slightly roomier helmet can be fine-tuned with the rear adjustment wheel. A helmet that's too small cannot be made larger.
- All Equestro helmets feature a rear rowel adjustment system that lets you tighten the fit by up to ~1 cm, so sizing up gives you room to dial in the perfect fit.
- The inner padding is removable and washable. Over time, padding compresses slightly, so a snug-but-comfortable fit on day one is ideal.
How Should It Fit?
- The helmet should sit level on your head, with the front edge approximately 2–3 cm above your eyebrows.
- It should feel snug but not tight — no pressure points, but no movement when you shake your head.
- The chin strap should allow one finger's width between the strap and your chin when fastened.
- If the helmet rocks forward/backward or side to side, try the next size down or adjust the rear wheel.
Safety Certification
All Equestro helmets meet the EN 1384:2023 standard — the updated European safety standard for equestrian helmets, which requires enhanced protection against impacts from falls and sharp objects. Read more about EN 1384:2023 →
