UVEX Riding Glove Size Guide

UVEX riding gloves are sized by hand circumference, using a numeric size scale (for example 6, 7.5, 9). Getting the size right matters for grip and rein feel — a glove that is too loose bunches up and loses feel, and a glove that is too tight restricts movement and is tiring to ride in. Use the steps below to measure your hand, then match your measurement against the size chart.

How to measure your hand for a riding glove

1. Use a soft fabric tape measure. If you do not have one, use a piece of string and measure the string against a ruler afterwards.

2. Wrap the tape around your dominant hand at its widest point — around the knuckles, not including the thumb.

3. Keep the tape level and snug, but not tight. It should sit flat all the way round.

4. Take the measurement in centimetres and match it to the nearest size on the chart below.

Some UVEX riding gloves — Ventraxion Multisize and Ventraxion Plus — use a two-size band (for example 6-7, 7-8) instead of a single number, covering the same hand-circumference range as the two matching single sizes above. UVEX Sportstyle Kids and Glamstar Kids gloves use small whole-number sizes (4, 5, 6, 7) at the smaller end of the same scale.

Fit tips for riding gloves

A correctly fitted riding glove should feel close to the hand with no loose or baggy material across the palm, since excess fabric there reduces rein feel.

Check the fingers reach fully to the fingertips without the seams pinching, and that the glove is not so tight it restricts closing your hand around the rein.

If your measurement falls between two sizes, most riders prefer to size down slightly for a closer, more precise contact — but check the return policy on the product page if you are unsure between two sizes.
