HV Polo Basic Fleece Rug - Navy
Use this size guide for HV Polo outdoor and stable blankets. Blankets are sized by stick measure — the back length of your horse from withers to base of tail (measured straight, not following the curve).
- Stick measure — from withers to base of tail along the back
- Upper width — chest opening at the front of the blanket
- Bottom width — drop length from spine to lower edge

If between sizes, size up — a blanket that's too tight rubs at the chest and shoulders. The blanket should sit clear of the wither, cover the full back to the base of the tail, and the front buckles should fasten without straining.
The Basic is HV Polo's everyday fleece rug — a soft fleece build that wicks moisture and helps the horse dry off after a sweaty session, useful as a cooler after work or a layer in the stable on cold days.
A plush fleece fur strip runs across the withers to stop the rug rubbing where it sits highest, and HV Polo embroidery sits on the left side. Double front closures fasten the chest, with detachable belly surcingles to hold it in place — leave them on for travel or take them off for short stable wear.
