The Durasoft range of reins from Schockemohle features an innovative design and is made from a beautifully soft, yet incredibly 'grippy' leather. The Durasoft reins have a three layer design - a bottom panel of leather, a central tear-resistant and anti-stretch nylon inner, and then a grip soft leather top.
These are the standard original Durasoft Reins, but a slightly wider version at 18mm in width. The wider reins are great for people who prefer a more 'full' feel within the hand while riding, or just find the usual 16mm size too slim for their preferences!
The Durasoft Rein is a simple design that is an original 'plain leather' style rein, but with integrated 'stops'. The stops on Durasoft are stitched into the inside of the design, rather than pieces of leather stitched on the top.
The reins have martingale stops on them - if you do not need these, we'd advise having them removed by a saddler/leatherworker.

Unless otherwise stated, all reins are FULL size. Pony and Extra Full are available in certain lines but not all.

To take good care of your reins, always put them through the throatlash on your bridle when storing.
Store your reins in a dry place and avoid soaking them in water for any length of time - it can cause the leather to crack.
To clean, follow usual guidance for tack cleaning - ensure you keep them clean and dry them off when wet. Use a leather balm to keep your reins supple.
This product is classed as Special Order.

For UK orders, we use Royal Mail for Standard Shipping.
