Equestrian Stockholm Jump Saddle Pad - Champagne
How to Choose the Right Size ES Jump Saddle Pad
Equestrian Stockholm jump saddle pads come in three sizes: Cob, Full, and Extra Full. Jump pads have a different shape to dressage pads — they're cut with a more forward flap to match the shorter, rounder panels on jumping and GP saddles.
Here's a quick guide based on saddle seat size:
- Extra Full — fits saddles from 18" and up. Best for larger jumping saddles or riders who like generous coverage.
- Full — fits saddles from 16" and up. The most popular size and suits the majority of jump and GP saddles.
- Cob — fits saddles 16" and down. Suits smaller horses and ponies in jump-style saddles.
We generally stock Full size in our jump pad range. Cob and Extra Full sizes are available for special order — just drop us an email and we'll sort it out for you.
This page covers Jump saddle pad sizing. If you ride in a dressage saddle, head to our ES Dressage Saddle Pad Size Chart instead — the shape and measurements are different.
ES Jump Saddle Pad Measurements
The diagram below shows where dimensions A, B, and C are measured on the pad. Use a soft tape measure along your current saddle pad or saddle flap to compare.

| SIZE | A (spine length) | B (drop depth) | C (bottom edge) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Extra Full | 64.5cm / 25.5 in | 52cm / 20.5 in | 72cm / 28.3 in |
| Full | 61cm / 24 in | 48cm / 18.9 in | 68cm / 27.7 in |
| Cob | 57.5cm / 22.5 in | 46cm / 18 in | 64.5cm / 25.4 in |
Jump vs Dressage Pad — Key Differences
The main difference between ES jump and dressage pads is the flap shape. Jump pads have a shorter, more forward-cut drop (dimension B) to sit neatly under a jump saddle's rounder flap. Dressage pads have a longer, straighter drop to match the extended flap of a dressage saddle. If you use your pad with a GP saddle, a jump pad will generally be the better fit.
Sizing Tips
- The measurements above are flat measurements — the pad will sit slightly differently once shaped around your saddle.
- ES pads hold their shape well after washing, so the size you start with is the size you'll keep.
- If you're using a half pad underneath, you may want to go up a size to accommodate the extra bulk.

Style with other pieces from the Champagne collection for a beautifully coordinated look.
Equestrian Stockholm Jump Saddle Pads are a typical fit and will fit almost all horses, saddles and riders.
Jumping saddle pads from Equestrian Stockholm work well for jump, general purpose, event and VSD saddles.
The size of your saddle pad should be based on the length of your saddle, and should always be slightly longer than the saddle.
