The connecting cord is an essential safety accessory for use with Equestro airbag vests. This cord links the airbag vest to the saddle, creating the trigger mechanism that activates the vest's inflation system if the rider separates from the horse — for example, during a fall or an unexpected dismount.
The cord is designed to release cleanly under a specific amount of force. During normal riding — mounting, dismounting, and movement in the saddle — the cord stays securely attached. It only activates when there's a sudden, forceful separation, triggering the CO2 canister in the vest to inflate the air chambers and protect the rider's torso, neck, and spine.
This is a replacement or spare connecting cord, allowing you to keep a backup ready or replace a cord that has been activated. Compatible with Equestro airbag body protectors. Always check that the cord is properly attached to both the vest and the saddle before every ride.
