Imperial Riding kids' sizes are based on the child's height in cm (e.g. size 140 = approx. 140 cm tall). For the best fit, take a chest, waist and hip measurement and cross-reference with height.

How to measure:

Chest — around the fullest part of the chest, tape horizontal and comfortably snug.
Waist — around the natural waistline (narrowest part of the torso).
Hip — around the fullest part of the hips.

If a measurement falls between two sizes, or the child is growing fast, size up.

This size chart is a guideline. Measurements are body measurements, not garment measurements — garments are cut to allow room for movement. Styles with a more fitted cut (e.g. competition shirts, technical base layers) may run snugger; relaxed styles may run looser. If in doubt, size up.

The Donny kids' breeches from Imperial Riding — riding breeches built to look like denim, in a 97% cotton, 3% elastane mix. Five-pocket styling with a zip fly and hook-and-eye closure at the waistband, so they read as jeans on the yard but ride properly in the saddle.

Elasticated inserts at the lower leg keep the fit smooth under riding boots, and a silicone full seat gives them grip when they ride. A regular fit through the leg with the brand's gun-metal logo detail.
